Join our client, a global manufacturing company, as a Principal AI/Ml Engineer, where you will lead the development and deployment of AI/ML solutions and drive capability and adoption across teams. You will focus on the full lifecycle, from POC to Production, of AI/ML use cases, focusing on maintenance, safety and analytics.
The role can be based out of Birmingham or London.
Flexible start and finish (core hours: 11am - 4pm)
2 days (of your choosing) in the office required
Responsibities
Lead the initiation, development, and delivery of AL/ML solutions to provide insights and improvements in products features, maintenance, equipment & safety
Produce high-quality production code
Develop, optimize, and iterate ML models for predictive maintenance.
Integrate automated vision inspection methods to detect and classify operational defects and optimise quality inspections
Analyse sensor data to detect patterns and potential equipment failures
Working with Data Engineers and Scientists to design & maintain data warehousing
Explore AI/ML techniques and technologies to enhance internal solutions
Integrate AWS services for real-time data processing working cross-functionally
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in deploying AI/ML & Data Analytics solutions at an enterprise scale, preferably in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics
Experience tackling unique challenges, executing production-ready solutions using AI/ML techniques
Proven expertise as an AI/ML Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating across distributed teams.
Proficiency in Python, including familiarity with NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
Strong background in system design and deployment on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
Track record of automating CI/CD pipelines and implementing infrastructure as code.
